Standard Terms & Conditions

Customers are requested to read the following terms and conditions before entering into a contract with FAST Helicopters Ltd ("we", "the company"). By undertaking a flight with FAST Helicopters Ltd., the customer agrees to the terms and conditions contained within this document between the company, customer. The terms of our contract do not affect consumers' statutory rights under the law of England and Wales. The company reserves the right to vary or revoke these terms or make such additional terms as it may consider appropriate.

Definitions

"Customer" means the person or business who/which orders or purchases a voucher or submits a deposit for a charter flight;
"Price" means the cost of the voucher inclusive of VAT (current rate) or the cost of a charter flight exclusive of VAT (current rate);
"Recipient" means either the customer or the nominated person who will redeem a voucher or undertake a charter flight;
"The company" refers to FAST Helicopters Ltd and all its employees;
"Voucher" means the voucher issued by the company, which entitles the customer or recipient to the flight(s) detailed therein;
General The Flight(s) descriptions and illustrations: All statements, representations and illustrations ("the statements, representations, illustrations") contained on the company's website, the company's advertising or otherwise communicated shall not bind the company in any way. The company reserves the right to alter any statements, representations and illustrations at its own discretion. Whilst we make every effort to ensure the descriptions and pictures contained within this web site are a true reflection of the product, they do not form part of any contract.

Health

By booking a flight the customer or recipient confirms that he or she is medically and physically fit and able to participate in it. If a customer, recipient has any medical condition or disability or knows of any other factor, which may adversely affect his or her participation, he or she must advise the company in writing at the time of booking, even if such details have been given in connection with previous flights. The company may decline to accept an individual booking if they consider that they cannot properly meet that individual customer's, recipient's needs and requirements, or if they otherwise consider in their absolute discretion that participation should be refused.

Gift Vouchers

Minimum Numbers for flights: The Company may withdraw or postpone a flight because bookings from customers or recipients are below the minimum number required for the flight, under these circumstances an alternative date will be offered.

Location and Flight Times: The timing of a flight as stated in the brochure, website or otherwise communicated is given as a guide only and shall not be binding on the company. The company reserves the right to reschedule the time or location of any flight at short notice. Some events may be attended by other members of the public, and therefore unavoidable delays may occur. Delays, curtailments and breakdowns are often outside our control and therefore whilst we will endeavour to resolve any immediate issues, We cannot accept responsibility.

Flight Restrictions: Gift vouchers offered have restrictions applied to their sale with reference to age; weight; and physical size restrictions. We are not responsible for any unsuitable vouchers being purchased and these restrictions being breached. If you are unsure of the suitability of a particular voucher please email us at info@fasthelicopters.com with your query and we will respond accordingly.

Price: The price stated on the website and brochures/leaflets or otherwise communicated is correct at the time of going to press or when communicated but the company reserves the right to change prices without notice subject to the Company informing the Customer of the new price at the time of ordering. The Customer shall pay the price in full at the time of ordering the voucher and no voucher shall be issued unless the full price has been paid. The price includes VAT. Where a particular flight has increased in price since the issue of the customer's voucher, the customer may be required to pay a supplement. The company will communicate such supplements to customers, recipients as soon as is practicably possible.

Flight booking: Flights may be booked by e-mail, telephone, fax or by post. A booking shall only be accepted when full payment for the flight has been received in cleared funds. Please do not arrive at a venue expecting to redeem your gift voucher without first receiving a booking confirmation.

Payment: Payment for activities may be by credit card, debit card, cash or cheque. Full payment must be received in cleared funds prior to departure.
Please note: Payments made by credit card will attract a 2.5% surcharge.

Voucher issue: On confirmation of payment of the price by the customer the company shall issue the voucher(s) to the customer. The issue of a voucher does not constitute the confirmation of a particular date for a booking.

Voucher validity: The voucher remains valid for a period of 6 months from the date of issue. The customer or recipient will not be permitted to commence the flight unless they are in possession of a valid voucher.

Voucher transfer: Vouchers are non-transferable. Valid only for the person(s) named on the voucher.
Voucher loss: In the event of voucher loss, no replacement voucher will be issued.

Refunds: If you are not completely satisfied with any FAST Helicopters Ltd gift voucher you have ordered, you may return it to us within 5 working days for a full refund. The company reserves the right to discontinue a particular flight at its own discretion. Refunds are always made to the original purchaser and if purchased by credit card, refunds will be credited to the same card.

Ad-hoc Charters

Payment: A 25% deposit is required to confirm a booking. The remaining balance is due as cleared funds seven days before departure.

Weather Restrictions

Legal Minima (CAT): The company legal minima for Commercial Air Transport (Charter) is:

  • Legal CAT Weather Minima
  • Cloud base
  • minimum 600 ft
  • Visibility
  • 3000m or greater

Legal Minima (Trial Lessons): The company legal minima for Trial Lessons is the same as for CAT, however the additional restriction of a windspeed of 25kts or gusts exceeding a 10kt spread.

Weather cancellations: In the event the weather on the day of the flight is not suitable, the customer will have the option to take the same flight details on a different date or receive a refund.

Cancellations

Flight cancellations: All flights are offered subject to availability and weather conditions; therefore, the Company cannot guarantee that the flight will not be cancelled due to availability or adverse weather conditions. Under such circumstances, the customer will have the option to reschedule the flight for an alternative date, or receive a full refund, less 10%. The Customer or the Recipient shall not be eligible for a refund of the Price if the flight does not take place due to events beyond the reasonable control of the Company.

Technical cancellation: Should cancellation of the flight occur due to aircraft technical reasons, the Company will endeavour to transport the Customer(s) to the final destination by alternative means, by air or surface transport. Any failure of the Company to achieve this will result in the Customer receiving a full refund.

Booking alterations: Once a flight is booked for a specific date there may be alteration charges should the booking require alteration, depending on the venue. The maximum charge will be 10% of the cost of the flight.

Cancellation charges: Cancellation charges will be payable at the time of cancellation by a customer, recipient or someone acting on their behalf.

Customer Cancellation Penalties

Within 7 days = Full refund less 10%

Less than 48 hours = Full refund less 50%

Less than 24 hours = No refund due

Conditions of Carriage

Fast Helicopters Ltd will not seek to limit or exclude its liability in the event a passenger dies or is injured as a result of an accident on any of its flights. If it is proved that the passenger has caused or contributed to his injury or death by his own negligence, then Fast Helicopters Ltd may be exonerated wholly or in part from its liability in accordance with the law. For damages actually suffered up to SDR100,000 can be met, subject always to the overall obligation to prove the extent of your loss. If your damages exceed this sum, you will have to prove negligence before you can claim for the excess over SDR100,000 can be met, subject always to the overall obligation to prove the extent of your loss. If you or your family suffer immediate economic needs as a result of an accident then an advance payment of damages will be made by Fast Helicopters Ltd. In the event of death, this advance payment will not be less than SDR15,000 or its Sterling Equivalent. Any sum paid in advance will have to be accounted for when any damages payable to you or your family are finally determined. The potential liability of Fast Helicopters Ltd above is insured up to / beyond a reasonable overall limit recommended / prescribed by the CAA.

You must not carry

  • Firearms of any type including replicas or toys
  • Explosives such as fireworks, flares, toy gun caps
  • Gases such as camping or compressive gas cylinders tear gas, mace or CS devices
  • Gas powered devices (other than hair curlers) such as culinary blow torches or soldering irons
  • Flammable materials such as petrol, lighter fuel, paint, thinners, non-safety matches, fire lighters
  • Poisons such as weed killers, insecticides
  • Corrosives such as filled car batteries, mercury

Security requirements further restrict the carriage of sharp items, such as knives, in handbaggage. Contact FAST Helicopters for further information on these restricted items.

Aircraft Limitations

All quotes and bookings are subject to the aircraft operating within its weight and balance limitations as specified in the aircraft Flight Manual and the Company Operations Manual.
