CPL(H) - Commercial Pilots Licence (Helicopters)

The Commercial Pilots Licence is the professional licence that allows you to be paid to fly helicopters. The CPL(H) modular course is essentially a course of flying training for PPL(H) licence holders who have already passed a course of theoretical training for the issue of the CPL(H). Having gained your helicopter licence, you will limited to the type of helicopter that you have trained on. Night Qualification

In order to fly during the hours of darkness you will need to obtain a night qualification. This rating covers any helicopter types that you are licensed to fly. Night is defined as the period between 30 minutes after sunset and 30 minutes before sunrise. Night flying must be conducted under VMC (Visual Meteorological Conditions), i.e. below cloud and in sight of surface. More details >
