The CPL(H) modular course is essentially a course of flying training for PPL(H) licence holders who have already passed a course of theoretical training for the issue of the CPL(H). Having obtained a CPL(H) many pilots become flight instructors in order to build up sufficient experience to enable them to apply for work as a commercial pilot, in addition this offers the individual the opportunity to work alongside other professionals and to gain enjoyment from helping others to obtain their own pilots licence. Helicopter Type Ratings

Having gained your helicopter licence, you will limited to the type of helicopter that you have trained on. There may come a time when you will want to take more than one passenger, or you require more speed and comfort. Fast Helicopters can add any of the following helicopters to your licence. Night Qualification

In order to fly during the hours of darkness you will need to obtain a night qualification. This rating covers any helicopter types that you are licensed to fly. Night is defined as the period between 30 minutes after sunset and 30 minutes before sunrise. Night flying must be conducted under VMC (Visual Meteorological Conditions), i.e. below cloud and in sight of surface. More details >
